Newton SGA Meeting

SGA is the student government association of Georgia Perimeter College. Some of their responsibilities are distributing student activity funds and organizing events.

Newton campus held an open SGA meeting on Aug. 27, where anyone can observe what being a part of the organization is like. The meeting started off with taking attendance and then discussing what needs to be done in order to strengthen the student body.

They made the decision to give $145 to GPC Reads, the campus book club, to buy books for their members. The extra books will be donated to Great Reading in Newton (GRIN), the other book club.

Although SGA rarely cancels their meetings, they decided to cancel the one for next Friday, because of Labor Day weekend.

SGA also talked about future events they are planning for the Newton campus. A couple of events to look forward to is Minute-to-Win-It and Mafia Night.

The Collegian will post more information on the activities at a later date.  What other events would you like SGA to host?
