Player Profile Scott King
Sophomore, 2nd Base
Scott King, an exercise science major plays second base for the GPC baseball team. Like the majority of his team mates, King has been playing the game since he was five years old.
In high school King played shortstop, and only last year made the transition to second base. His goals for this season is “just to make it to the college world series, and get golden glove at second base.” The golden glove recipient is chosen by the coaches who participate in the conference games the team will play this year.
“It felt like the right move, GPC has a great baseball program and the facilities are like no other in the state,” King said, in regards to his decision to play at GPC.
Like his teammates, Scott is also looking to go on to a four year school, considering Georgia State, and Georgia College and State University.
“Last year we had the talent, we could just never seem to come together, this year the team is a lot closer,” said King.
