Japan’s Largest earthquake in record history destroyed homes, separated families and tore down the lines of communications. It occurred on March 11, 2011 but the effects and devastation is just beginning. The fear of a nuclear meltdown has cause the situation to worsen.

The Japan Society on Clakston and Dunwoody have teamed up with the Red Cross to collect donations for the victims starting Wednesday March 16, 2011 and finishing up at the end of March.

“It is a very important event for the club to recognize. We want to inform the student body about this event, says Robin Wharton, President of the Clarkston Japan Society. ”
