The Dunwoody Outdoor Adventure Club, which has reassembled for the spring semester, had its first trip to Yonah Mountain and Anna Ruby Falls, Ga. on Feb. 26. The goal of the club is to get students and faculty out in nature and to give back to the environment by engaging in service work.
Formed in the spring of 2009, Dunwoody Outdoor Adventure Club members have traveled to several locations in Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Students and faculty interested in joining have camping, hiking, canoeing, and rafting trips to look forward to this spring.
“Going on [Adventure Club] trips allows one to learn sets of new skills, meet like-minded people, and discover and explore amazing sights and new hobbies,” explained Rita Tene, a member of the club.
Membership is free of charge and anyone may join. More information regarding the club can be found on their Facebook page “Dunwoody Outdoor Adventure Club.”
