All in the family – Robin Tricoli named president of college in Tennessee

Dr. Robin J. Tricoli, wife of GPC’s President, Dr. Anthony Tricoli, has taken the helm as President of Hiwassee College in Madisonville, Tennessee. The official announcement was made on May 7 by Dr. Albert Bowles, Chairman of the Hiwassee College board of trustees.
Dr. Robin Tricoli brings experience from across the globe, having served in positions ranging from associate provost for institutional planning at the University of Georgia to a U.S. State Department envoy charged with assisting Tunisia’s minister of education.
Dr. Robin Tricoli’s early academic career demonstrates a solid base. She earned an undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky, a master’s at the University of Cincinnati, and a doctorate at the University of Kentucky. Even Harvard’s post-graduate doors welcomed her warmly. Constantly increasing, her expertise in civic engagement, community outreach and institutional development has led her to become a powerhouse in higher education circles.
Impressively, the Tricoli’s now hold bragging rights as having two college presidents in the family.
