The Men’s Soccer Jaguars enter the season as the 14th ranked Division I Junior College team in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll. High hopes abound for the Jaguars season. “I think we can go far this year,” sophomore defender Andres Moreno said after their first win of the season, a 5-0 stomping of unranked Gordon College. “We’re just gonna get better every day,” Moreno said. Going into their game against sixth-ranked Darton College, the Jaguars have a record of 2-0. A win against Darton would propel them up the ranks and indicate a force on the national soccer scene. Coach Marc Zagara expressed optimism about continued improvement and singled out Mableton’s Brayan Rodriguez as a new player to watch this season. You can see the Jaguars play against Spartanburg Methodist College on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. at the Dunwoody campus and against Andrew College on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.
