Women Jags 6-0 winning streak

The GPC women Jaguars defeated region foe Darton College with a final score of 57-45, Thursday night at the Decatur campus.

The victory was a sixth straight win, putting their overall record at 10-5, which includes a perfect 6-0 mark in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

GPC led 25-18 at the half, a lead that grew to 47-28 in the second half.

The 12 point margin of victory is the lowest in the Jaguars current win streak.

Sophomore guard, Kamiya Burwell, was the top scorer with 18 points, including five rebounds, four assists, and seven steals.

Sophomore Brittany Logan and freshman Ronita Garrett shared 10 points and six rebounds each.

GPC travels to Americus, GA this Saturday to take on conference rival South Georgia Technical College.  Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
