An initiative has been in the mill at SGA for a few months now to start an organic garden on campus.
The idea is to get professors and students involved in planting and harvesting produce to be donated to North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC).
The garden is going to be located in the back lot behind school.
The plan is to divide the garden into separate raised beds and to give different science classes the chance to adopt a bed and to learn while serving the community with the vegetation they cultivate.
The seeds will be planted in April and May with plans to start harvesting the produce in Summer.
