Softball season in full swing

The GPC Jaguars softball team has been busy since their season began in early February, having played ball games in four different states while racking up a 13-8 record as of press time.

Early season highlights include freshman Stephanie Satterfield’s no-hitter versus Alabama Southern Community College and the team winning four of five games at the Wallace JUCO Classic in Hanceville, Ala.

The team is lead by sophomores Lauren Bell and Kacie Patterson, who have both committed to four-year universities for the 2013 season.

GPC will host Andrew College in a doubleheader on March 16.  First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m..

All home games are played are played on the Newton campus in Covington, Ga. and admission is free with GPC student ID.
