Dragon*Con: Day 1

What is Dragon*Con?

It’s a difficult question to answer.

Perhaps you could explain it as a science fiction and fantasy convention, but it goes beyond that. Maybe you could describe it as a nerd haven, but it’s more than just nerds.

Earlier today, a dialog between an on-looker and a con-goer really captured the essence of Dragon*Con:

“What is this?” asked the on-looker.

“It’s Dragon*Con,” responded the con-goer.

“What is that?” asked the still confused on-looker.

“It’s everything!” exclaimed the con-goer.

And that really is the best way to put it. The best part about Dragon*Con is that you don’t have to be a nerd, geek, or be into science fiction or fantasy to enjoy it.

There’s something for everyone. Things both universally recognizable and completely esoteric wander the streets all weekend long.

The Collegian will be interviewing Billy West of Futurama and New York Times best selling author R.A. Salvatore tomorrow. If you have any questions you’d like us to ask them please email them at GPC.Collegian@gmail.com
