Men’s soccer advances to GCAA semis

By Alan Simpson

GPC will face second seed South Georgia in Albany at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in the GCAA semifinals.

The third seed Jaguars punched their ticket to Albany by beating Andrew College 3-1 at home in a first-round game.

South Georgia earned a first-round bye and has not played since Oct. 19. The Tigers won both matches with GPC during the regular season. Their only losses this season were to Darton.

The game will take place in the middle of a busy day in Albany. The women’s final kicks off at 2 p.m. and tournament host Darton plays its semifinal at 7 p.m. The undefeated Cavaliers, ranked first in the nation, are heavy favorites to win the tournament.

The game will be broadcast live online.
